Three years ago the Cresenta Valley Drug and Alcohol Prevention Coalition (Coalition) received a federal grant to prevent youth from using drugs & alcohol.  We have built a network of local and countywide partners that provides information and raises awareness to make lasting change.  Many wonder why we ask for financial help since we are flush with government money.  Here’s why: our grant can only be used for salaries, operations, and marketing — the things organizations need to survive but people don’t like to underwrite through their charitable donations.  To do more to benefit children and families directly, we became a charitable nonprofit.  With your support, we will fund activities that promote a positive and healthy lifestyle including sports teams, academic programs, cultural activities, scouts, expert speakers, skills-building workshops, youth drop-in centers, and family-friendly activities.  Please consider making a tax-deductible contribution to the Crescenta Valley Drug and Alcohol Prevention Coalition, Tax I.D.# is 46-0725817.
